Prevent Check Fraud

In case of robbed, stolen or missing checks or checkbooks, get in touch with Serasa Watch at 55 11 3373-7272 and report your name, Tax No. (CPF/MF), the number of the bank and branch where you keep your checking account, and the serial number(s) of the relevant check(s). The event will be logged and available to all of Serasa's customers.

The service can be used after banking hours and on weekends and holidays. The log is temporary, and the information will remain available for 72 hours. After this period, the log is immediately removed from Serasa's database.

This is why it is crucial that you go to your bank as soon as it opens to officially suspend the checks by receipt-acknowledged letter of request with the relevant police report attached. Where checks have been robbed, stolen or missing outside of banking hours, the suspension request may be temporarily placed by telephone, in which case the account holder must formalize the suspension within two business days.

Do not waste time or hire third parties for this.Seek Serasa's free service at 55 11 3373-7272.
