A Police Report ("Boletim de Ocorrência", or B.O.) is legal and documentary proof of theft, robbery or misplacement of documents. You can file a report at the closest police station or, in São Paulo, at  www.ssp.sp.gov.br, providing all of the relevant information on the documents.
